Was the Concorde the first supersonic aircraft?

Since then there have been many military planes capable of breaking the sound barrier. The Concorde is the only regularly scheduled commercial plane to do it. The Russians developed and built the Tupolev 144 supersonic plane, but it only flew on 55 commercial trips before being withdrawn from service.
