Are there any places in Australia you would describe as "bohemian"?

(Question refers to the atmosphere of a suburb, not the style of architecture)|||Newtown in Sydney there;s a remnant of aging anglo and migrant (Greek) population mixed with yuppies, ferals, goths, gay & lesbians and students from the nearby Uni all mixing well. Add an interesting art scene, pubs and restaurants makes the most ;bohemian; place I can currently think of.Places like Kings Cross and St Kilda used to be considered bohemian but they;re now tourist attractions with a layer of sleaze|||I agree with Newtown. Also Byron Bay for a more ;hippie;/alternative style.
