There are people out there selling Cold Steel Magnum Tanto XIs, they usally gee with a kydex/concelex sheath,
Cold Steel never made one of thoes for the 9 inch tanto, and always look for Cold Steel's signature San Mai blades, theSan Mai line should beeasyto see, it'sjust asolid straight line. If you can't see it, or the seller is unwilling to give you pictures of it, it is not real.
The fake IX tantos will also have a space bettween the blade and the handguard, so it looks like you can almost see the tang.
Bascally if you know anything about cold steel tantos, you should be able to tell between the real and the fake.
